too bad these two scenes are the easier to animate :/. The real challenge begins now. Still multi tasking on other projects and trying to finish the last Joy toon, pissed off that I had a crash and lost some work a few days back . Joys last toon will be finished even if it takes me forever and a day.

Showing off another little atmospheric shot from the first scene of Deserters. A blue muzzle flash instead of a yellow one? Yep. Why? Well the color schemes in this series are all going to be yellowish or brownish for the most part, and most colors are going to be kind of faint. The faint colors are really to show that the world itself is drained of life, so why blue muzzle flashes instead of yellow?
Because blue stands out so much more color wise with this faint color concept I’m going for. The lush reddish backgrounds you see presented here will not appear again in any other scenes. This is all just for mood and atmosphere.
I’m going to be updating on Saturdays now instead of Fridays, past few weeks my Fridays have actually been quite random and I’ve ended up missing updating until Saturday anyways.
It feels kind of odd working on Deserters right now, even though I’m still kind of going at a snails pace on the series as I sort of trudge through the first scene and re-do shots to simplify things. I’m hoping to get the first little scene done within a week or so as I multi-task on this, Romanticide, and still trying to finish the final episode of Joy.

Gonna spam the internet with the first story arc of Deserters and then go into retirement. I’m done animating and need to get these ideas out of my head so I can move on in life. I’ve never really gotten much out of my work other than improving my skills, and I’m too old to keep dreaming like this.
So I’m major multitasking now still fighting to finish the last Joy episode, kind of hitting odd animation problems on the last 3 scenes…Not fun to have to re-animate the same scene more than once because of ideas that dont work, but its getting closer to being finished.

Hmm…this is supposed to be the final year ever…Well according to the Mayan calendar, and as we all know the Mayan calendar is never wrong. So yeah, this being the last year before the apocalypse, or whatever I guess that means we all have to do whats important to us.
So I’m trying to get back to finishing my stuff and moving on like I planned too. I’m finally starting to catch up on my work as the last 4 weeks have been so minimal it isn’t even funny, but that’s holiday depression for ya I suppose. The contest I entered ended and unf0rtunatelly I didn’t get anything, but I do appreciate everyones support.
Not sure when I’ll have the last Joy episode up yet, but its getting there. Hopefully I can polish off the animation in a week or so. We’ll see, catch you Next Friday!
Well, things haven’t gone to plan on the last Joy episode, my computer crashed and I lost some work which has really slowed me down, that in combination with what I said in the last update has just made me sluggish.
I’m getting things done very slowly, I have all the voice acting, but the episode is still only a little more than halfway done.
It will most likelly be posted about Jan 7th or so.

Sorry about missing Fridays update, a friend of mines son committed suicide and I just didn’t have it in me to post anything here. Kind of still don’t.
Trying to finish the final Joy episode, heres hoping I can pull it off in time.
Working my way to the end of the year and finishing 2 toons. My RE parody series for Gaxel is about 50% done, I’ve got the 4th episode almost finished now and that just leaves 3 to go. Nice to be halfway finished with this series.
As I expected, the last Joy episode is going to be at least 3 minutes or so in length, the script got polished off last night and its a pretty good ending to this little series. I had a few ideas how I was going to end it and made a more obscure choice for the ending that I think is just right.
Kind of sad that this is the last Joy episode, but its really time to move on and I’m just happy to be almost 1/3rd of the way done with my 3 original series, I just hope I can get the next one going a little faster as once again, I’m behind schedule.
Also to anyone who hasnt voted for me here please do so, I’m at 239 votes, I’d like to have at least 300 before Dec 31st so thats just 61 votes to go.
Years almost over, 2012 is around the corner and I cant help but wonder how far I’ll get?
Its hard to believe that Joy to the World is up to episode 8, its also harder to believe that the series is practically finished.
Episode 8 is the last episode of the series. Its time for me to move onto Romanticide, well its been time for me to move onto it for a while, but I need to get the next series going.
So I’m hoping to get the episode up by about X-mas or so.
