Wasnt a hard decision as really..flash animation looks better when its flash animation format.

FINALLY finished the re-dux of the first scene from Deserters EPO and it looks so much better than my first attempt, I’m still trying to find a way to simplify the 3rd and 4th scenes so that they’re shorter, but have enough of the story in a presentable form.

Still working through artist block, experimenting with colored artwork as well.

Once I get finished with Ep1 things will be a little easier…though when time comes for EP3, that all changes.

I’m also going to post pone the last Joy Episode until Dec 2012, I’ve lost my motivation to try to get it down, so I think I’ll also do another 2 or 3 episodes more with her.

Still have a handful of ideas with her that I never got around to using. Shame to waste them.

Gonna have to fight to finish updating the script now that I’m about halfway through it. This shot is from a brief flashback, nothing special really but its to break up a little of the talking in scene 3. That’s pretty much it for now, back to work I go.

Kind of skittery now as I’m working my way up to being about halfway finished with the first episodes script..of which is only halfway written as I cant seem to finish this revised script. I have the first 5 eps written out, but ep1 needed a re-write and I cant seem to polish it off quite the way I want too.

It feels strange finishing off the ‘calm before the storm’ scenes too, everything you see here in this image, gets destroyed in one way or another. Almost feels like all the hard work i’m doing now needs to be simplified some more.

Oh well, hopefully I can finish off scene 3 by the end of next week. Its about time to do a proof of concept music video for this series.

Working on backgrounds and getting the scenery to look right has been a pain in the ass.

Its all starting to come together which is good and all, but its taking longer than planned as well.Time to simplify things a bit more, yes this is a new character. No point in telling you about her just yet.

Because blue stands out so much more color wise with this faint color concept I’m going for. The lush reddish backgrounds you see presented here will not appear again in any other scenes. This is all just for mood and atmosphere.

It feels kind of odd working on Deserters right now, even though I’m still kind of going at a snails pace on the series as I sort of trudge through the first scene and re-do shots to simplify things. I’m hoping to get the first little scene done within a week or so as I multi-task on this,  Romanticide, and still trying to finish the final episode of Joy.

So I’m major multitasking now still fighting to finish the last Joy episode, kind of hitting odd animation problems on the last 3 scenes…Not fun to have to re-animate the same scene more than once because of ideas that dont work, but its getting closer to being finished.

moving on…

So I’m trying to get back to finishing my stuff and moving on like I planned too. I’m finally starting to catch up on my work as the last 4 weeks have been so minimal it isn’t even funny, but that’s holiday depression for ya I suppose. The contest I entered ended and unf0rtunatelly I didn’t get anything, but I do appreciate everyones support.

Not sure when I’ll have the last Joy episode up yet, but its getting there. Hopefully I can polish off the animation in a week or so. We’ll see, catch you Next Friday!

I’m getting things done very slowly, I have all the voice acting, but the episode is still only a little more than halfway done.

It will most likelly be posted about Jan 7th or so.

Trying to finish the final Joy episode, heres hoping I can pull it off in time.

As I expected, the last Joy episode is going to be at least 3 minutes or so in length, the script got polished off last night and its a pretty good ending to this little series. I had a few ideas how I was going to end it and made a more obscure choice for the ending that I think is just right.

Kind of sad that this is the last Joy episode, but its really time to move on and I’m just happy to be almost 1/3rd of the way done with my 3 original series, I just hope I can get the next one going a little faster as once again, I’m behind schedule.

Also to anyone who hasnt voted for me here please do so, I’m at 239 votes, I’d like to have at least 300 before Dec 31st so thats just 61 votes to go.

Years almost over, 2012 is around the corner and I cant help but wonder how far I’ll get?

Episode 8 is the last episode of the series. Its time for me to move onto Romanticide, well its been time for me to move onto it for a while, but I need to get the next series going.

So I’m hoping to get the episode up by about X-mas or so.
